Is this the Idle Control Valve? - Photo
I decided to clean the ICV on my 1991 1.8 190e. (euro)
Took the air cleaner off and it wasnt what I was expecting! I think the system might be different to the US cars. If anyone can see the ICV on the pics that would be great. I have arrowed a unit that I think might be it. If a better pic is required that can be arranged. Thanks |

Yes. the idle valve is the one you have the arrow pointing to in the first photo.

Is it advisable to clean the ICV with carb cleaner, or should something less harsh be used? Thanks in advance. Jeff Pierce
