Hi,
The rear dome light on my 1986 420SEL will not come on with either rear door open. However it works ok when you use the switch on the dash. The front dome light works ok. Is there an independent relay for the rear dome light function?

Usually we see broken wires when this is the case.

There is no relay. This uses a ground circuit to turn the light on with the switches.
