Question 2002 E55 AMG Engine Burn

Just purchased a 2002 E55 AMG at auction with engine burn. Or shall we say "a big heat up". I think that it was driven - hot - with engine light on - without radiator fluid. Oil seems OK.
Question - Trying to find repair service manual, or someone to rebuild engine. I am really a novice at this. .... Kerry

Is the engine locked up?
I know it may seem like the easy way out, but you may be ahead, if the engine is seized, to just get an engine for it from Mercedes.
You can really spend alot of money, say especially if the crank needs to be replaced etc, and when you're done, all that money in it and no warranty. The engine from MB would have a warranty.
