Hi guys,
I've got a 'H' reg (1990) 190E merc, and the central locking doesn't work. If you use the boot, it locks all of the 4 doors, but it won't lock the other doors if you use the driver or passenger door. Ideas??? Also, how does this system work. Going to the actuator thingy, there are 3 wires, a figured these to be live, earth and some sort of signal. What state should the signal wire be to lock the entire car?? Thanks for any info -Gavin |

Let's go to school...
The rectangular plug with 3 pins are for power, ground, and keyed power. The round plug is for the signals. One is for the trunk, one is for the passenger's handle, one is for the driver's handle. If you unlock or lock the doors, the signal jumps from power (unlocked) to ground (locked)... Get it?? We sell the CD that has the diagrams if needed...Partsshop. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 1992 500E (very soon I hope 1981 280GE SWB ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
