ACC pushbutton unit.

Hi friends. I will like to know how can I test if the pushbutton unit of my W126 (350SD, 1991) is doing the right thing? I have intermitent air at the defroster, fogging the windshield. The actuator is new and tested, but the system open it and closes it ad lib. Also, Do you know where I can get a remanufactured one at a reasonable price? The one I've seen runs for $400.00... for this model. Thank you in advanced.

Darrel
