I have lost power to the clock and interior
lights in car when the key is not on or the engine is running. When I start up everything works fine. On the day that this occurred I had been working around the cluster and got old problems fixed (dimmer switch was dirty and cleaned with contact cleaner, I also checked instrument bulbs carefully)Also replaced trunk light and had the ash tray out cleaning it the same day. I do not recall knocking wires around. Any ideas ?? Thanks, Dave |

IT WAS SIMPLY A FUSE BLOWN! I WAS NOT AWARE THAT THESE THINGS WERE DUAL POWERED. THEY MUST RUN ON THE FUSED LINE JUST WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED OFF AND GET POWER ELSEWHERE WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING OR PERHAPS MORE JUICE GOT THROUGH THAT OLD FUSE WHEN THE CAR WAS RUNNING(IT WAS NOT CLEARLY BLOWN)
