I wanted to bring to 240 d owners and whatever else used MB 001 094 9504 filters that the K & N model E 2800 filter specified for this car did not seal properly. It did not seal and hardly reaches the height of the inside mesh screen in the canister. I did not get a reply from K & N when I expressed my concern. I am not knocking K & N
as I have them in every other vehicle that I own. I verified that I could not get a seal on this filter by placing a piece of paper on top of filter. Tightening and clamping would not even get an imprint of the filter ribs. I DID NOT however have another K & N on hand to see if this filter ended up in the wrong box or something. It did however seem close enough to cause someone who did not check it throw it in and go on down the road. |

I suspect that the wrong filter was in the package, or your were sent the wrong part number.
