Not sure if this was posted here before, but here is the article describes how Mercedes lost a $32M to a lawsuit. The case involved a Flexible Service System (FSS), included on nearly all Mercedes-Benz cars sold in the United States from 1998 to 2001

The truth is an absolute defense to slander or liable.

Its not that conventional oil was at fault, it was MBs change intervals recommended by the FSS system were too friggin long.

Even with synthetics, MBCanada "now" recommends more frequent changes than FSS indicates.
