I was out driving with no problems whatsoever, when I stopped to go to the store. I came out to go home and the car would crank and seemingly start, only to die before I could give any gas by the pedal. This happened 10X times, so I called MBZ roadside assistance. I took 10 min to get through, and before I spoke to a technician who was being paged from the local dealer, I went to try and start it one more time, and she started as if nothing happened before, It ran great all the way home (responded normally when doing an Italian tune up) etc. So what do I do now? Thoughts or suggestions?

Wait and see what happens next. I doubt you'll be able to identify this gremlin with the single occurence you describe.

This could have been an isolated experience. If not, you will know soon.
If this happens again, get out and lock and unlock the doors a couple of times. This will reset the Anti-theft alarm if it is acting up. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 1992 500E (very soon I hope :) 1981 280GE SWB ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
