For what it's worth, I have always seen a little engine oil in the breather hose connected to the air filter housing.

IMHO, it's normal and your stalling has got nothing to do with the oil appearing in the breather hose.

I had a stalling problem a long while back which was cured by swapping out a Fuel Pump Relay that had gone bad.

The car would intermittently stall out when slowing down to take a corner or when braking at a stop light.

Seems to me, in your car, maybe the idle valve/airflow plate is sticking.Did you try cleaning them again?

Hi! I am new in MB group. I have some questions about my car. 2 weeks ago, my car is stall after warm up due to vaccum leak. I connected all the hoses and cleaner idle control valve and air flow meter by Lubro Moly Air Flow Cleaner. Then, my car ran very good until yesterday.

Now, my car was stall every braking (after warm up). I took off the air filter housing and saw some engine oil there from the breather hose. Does those oils will effect the idle??? It seems idle drop too much when braking (around 500rpm), then stall.

Please give me some comments. Thanks

Yes, I cleaned idle control valve and air flow meter two weeks ago. After that, it runs perfect until yesterday.

Why don't you try cleaning them again?

Maybe the cleaner that you used is attracting dirt and gunking up the valve/plate?
