W124 Blower Motor Preventive Maintainance

To all the guys who have removed the blower motor, is it possible to aim a few well directed drops of oil onto the shaft of the blower motor next to the bearing and maybe jack the car up on one side, run the fan so the oil may get into the bearing, then jack up the other side for the other bearing. Without having to remove the wiper assembly, maybe just some of the plastic covers?

Cheers always looking for the easy way, lube it before it gets bad.
George

Some people here have tried that, although I'm not one of them. I don't think you can really access the blower motor much at all without going through the whole R&R process, from my perspective I figured I might as well just replace the whole thing and save myself from having to deal with it again later. (At least if the blower is old, like mine was.)

Thanks Antonyb, those people that Ant said may have tried, were you successful in dropping oil onto the shaft from above?
Cheers George

The motor and squirrel cage fans are inside a plastic box. You can't get in there without doing the dissasembly. It might take you an hour or so the first time, but less than an hour once you know your way around...

Removing the wiper assembly is a lot easier than it sounds.
