Aftermarket tail lights W124
 

I just bought a set of "GECAR" aftermarket taillights for my 1991 MB 300e. When I took them out of the box, they looked great. But when I tried to install them on the car - no luck. I can't seem to line up the studs on the new lens to the holes on the OEM reflector.

I realize that the aftermarket stuff is not always 100%, but has anyone else managed to mount a set of less than co-operative lenses on their MB? What are the tricks?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try to put the lens and the reflector on when they are out of the car. Once the lens is popped in to the socket and the reflector has to go in from the trunk it's bound to go in wrong at first. The relfector seems to always hit the edge of the trunk.
