Faulty Petrol Gauge - CLK 230
 

CLK 230 Kompressor Coupe - June 1999.

The Petrol Gauage is failing to register the amount of Petrol in the tank - The needle does not move from the "0" position (i.e. Empty / it is constantly below the orange petrol low indicator light and fails to move at all even on filling up the tank). Please advise as to the possible solution/s to this problem.

Those cars are plagued with tank sensor problems. very nasty job. Since there are two, one should test it properly before bying parts. The two sensors are in series so the gauge reads an average.
