The day that I bought my 560SEC, while on the drive home, the cruise control started jerking strongly and shut down. It would not work at all for the rest of the trip. The next day I tried to set it again, and it appeared to try to set up the shut down again. Since then I get no reaction from it at all. Checked the fuse, not the problem. Where do I go from here? Thanks,

Try clicking on "search" in the upper right corner of this page and search this forum for the words "cruise control". You might also search the 1999 Tech Help archives.
Usually the problem is the amp or the actuator. ------------------ Bill Wood - Webmaster MercedesShop.com, LLC |

You might want to check out the Mercedes-Benz Club of America website, they have a tech library with an article on: "Troubleshooting Your Cruise Control". http://www.mbca.org/MBCA_Troubleshooting_cruise_cont.htm
