Exclamation Help with W107 trunk seal!

I'm utterly confused on how to install it! Is the seal channel supposed to form inwards, or outwards? How do i get the darn thing to curve around the corners?

Smile trunk seal

I have the same truble on my W 107. But I solve the problem.
I took 2 component glue in the bottom of the canal, and some strong tape to hold the rubber in place. After that, carefuly close the lid in locked posision. Let the glue hardned before you open the lid.

Look here.

The seal is a rubber casting masterpiece and, if you examine it carefully, you will see that it has been cast to exactly fit the contours, with the long flat section going to the rear of the trunk. My pictures should explain the rest. Do clean off the old glue properly if you want a 20 year fix.

I followed your web site, Thomaspin. After 2 nights finding out how the seal goes in, after looking at the old one, i was able to do it!
