E320 station wagon CD changer location

I just purchased an after market CD changer for my 1998 E320 station wagon. I found the 10 pin connector behind the right rear interior panel but I am not sure where exactly I am suppose to mount the CD changer. Does anyone have a picture on the exact location for the CD changer? A drawing or diagram would also be great.

Thanks.

Mine is attached to the passenger side cover over the rear washer bottle. When you tilt the cover over, the changer goes with it.

There is a bracket made for the later cars that hold both the changer and the amp, if the car had/has a phone it also holds the ctel pse.

All of this is packed into the r.h inner fender beside the beam that supports the rear floor.

In later 98 they went to the fiber-optics style of changer. Your car must be an early 98 if you have the big 10 pin connector. I hope the changer you have is this early style changer or it won't work.

"What Joe Said" on the location, goes in that "dead" spot in the right rear, right next to the inside of the fender back there. But there is a special bracket required on the station wagon to get it properly mounted. Oh, there is some black trim back there, like some fuzzy black preformed sheeting, noise insulation material, and some of that has to be removed, there is even perforations in it where is has to be removed, can just yank it out by hand.
