I am looking for a good repair/troubleshoot information source for an '84 300TD. Any recommendations? SHould I get MB stuff or are the 3rd party books good?

I don't think you can do better than the official W123 MBUSA service CD's we sell in PartsShop.

10-4 on the M-B CD service manuals. I purchased from the PartShop, kinda of pricey, but they paid for themselves with the 1st diy job I did. :D

I'll go along with that, mine paid for themselves quickly. You have to learn to think german.Ha Ha. one question is there a separate c\d for the tranmission?

I am not aware of a tranny-only CD.
