Hello,

I just read the DIY section on the replacement of Distributor Cap and Rotor on the M119 engine.

However, on my M103 engine, it looks a little bit different. I was able to get the distributor cap off. However, can someone tell me how to get the rotor off? I've removed the "middle part" by removing the three allen screws. But the rotor still seems to be "stuck" in there (but I can rotate the rotor. How do I get the rotor off?

Three screws should do it. Tap it lightly with the handle of a scewdriver. Should pop right off. What you seem to be describing is the rotor drive bracket which is attached to the end of the camshaft. You do not need to remove this part to change the rotor. You've already got the part you want removed, i.e. "the middle part".

It seems that the inside "edge" of the rotor is "behind" the rotor drive bracket? Do I have to remove the rotor at an angle or something?

Nope, should pop right off with average paw pressure..

I just changed mine - it came right off without even what I would call a tug.
