Does anyone ever fix broken vent louver?
 

I need instruction to remove and fix the driver side vent louver.
Does anyone have a picture/instruction/diagram?

Until I found out they are only $7, then I just replaced it. You could try throwing time and glue at it but for me it wasn't worth the $7.

The vent comes out by just pulling it, I use some needle nose with a rag to keep from scratching it.

Not Hard.
 

I hade to fix mine because I could not find a used one here in Guatemala. It is not hard to pull out. Basically you need like two small screwdrivers. There are four little plastic clips that you have to undue. How to explain? They are located a little bit within the area of where the actual vent is, the vent that moves up and down. If you move it and look there you will see what I mean.

After I got the clips pulled a little (I had to leave the little screwdrivers in place so that they did not clip back into position) I pulled the vent out. I had to pull a little hard to get it to come out but be careful as to not break it.

After I pulled the vent, I drilled a hole in the hole where the vent lever used to be attached. I then just screwed in a small sheet metal screw and the lever now works and have not had any problems.

I have all but one of the vertical louvers broken.
