94 E320 Not Starting
I took my 94 E320 to the dealership for service and it did not start for the Tech. Engine turned.
Service Manager thought it was the Crank sensor, 2 technicians brought out the fuel pressure gage and the multimeter. I suggested the fuel pump relay. The service manager took the relay (next to ECM, behind the AC relay) out and reinserted. The car started. Replaced the Fuel pump relay but it failed to start again after I got back from the dealership. Took the relay out, and installed a couple of times and it started. Maybe the OVP? The car runs fine after starting.

Just tap the top of the OVP when it does it again.
If the old one is 000 540-52-45... just change it..

Old OVP was #52, replaced it with #67. Running good so far. The old one had some burn marks on the connector pins as well.
Returned the Fuel Pump relay. Dealership had charged me the wrong price $149.00. They had the wrong part number on the invoice as well. On top of that, it was not new. I checked on Fastlane and the price was only $28. I now have a new fuel pump relay I am going to keep in the car. Got it for $28 at the dealership.

If someone knows how to repair the OVP, they can have my old one. I'll take care of the shipping as well.

whoa!! free OVP? yeaaah! i don't even know what in the world an OVP can possibly be, but wow, free OVP, sounds like something i should jump onto. if you're really rich (more than 70K US $ a year) i'll take it, otherwise forget it cuz i don't want someone paying out of their own pockets .

the OVP is a simple circuit involving a zener diode which is the most expencive part in it, two regular diodes, and a switch if I remember correctly, and of course the changable fuse. All nicely packed in an aluminum case. I took mine apart multiple times to resolder all the joints, not that I was having any problems with it, but here in Canada the dealer wants $250 for parts like this.
I have no idea how you got a fuel pump relay for $28, but it sounds like a good price to me. xp

Zadar, if these marks are. . .
just 'brownish' color, they are not burn marks, but are a bit of silver oxide. Typically you will see this toward the top of the pin.
This is standard thing that happens and can cause an intermittent contact: this will clean up with use of steel wool. You can also clean the inside of the mating female pin and that may just fix the problem. In your case this had nothing to do with what happened. Just info for next time.
