interior drilling

I want to put a cell phone holder in my interior. It calls for drilling into wherever u wish to place it. On my 124 Chassis, i want to put it on the passenger side of the center console, drilling into the console area on the passenger side. This is underneath the dashboard.
Is there something behind where i am going to drill that would prevent this? can this be done? anything im going to hit/hurt?
HELP!!

thanks
sam

why not use velcro or double side tape? Holds well and no permanent holes or damage? Abe G

Pull the ashtray and/or the center console panel so that you can see what you are doing. Blind drilling there is a bad idea.
