Does 95 E420 have limited slip differential??

I think it doesn't, but how does one tell? About to replace differential fluid. Many thanks.

NO

I don't have one on my '95 E420 (without ASR). ASR serves the slip control function on cars of this vintage. I've never heard of an E420 or 400E with L/S differential. It's unfortunate - because my rear tires really like to spin even in light rain with moderate throttle.

Many threads on how to check for L/S. Jack up the rear end and spin one tire. If the other tire starts to spin it has L/S (I think, check the other threads with a search to be sure).

Or you can also look for the metal tab by the fill-hole telling you to use the spezial MB fluid in there.
