B2 band shift in 190 A/T

How do I shift a broken B2 band in my 1988 190E Automatic transmission? I can see it (and have retained some of the broken parts) from underneatw when I remove the filter, the filter 'bracket body' and the valve body - and mounting plate.
The trans is now out of the car.

Is there anyone who knows more than just how to change a bulb in this forum?

Yes, there are people on this site that could fix your problem.

However replacing a B2 band in a MB trans isn't a DIYer at all. Requires complete disassembly of the transmission.

keep looking

There have been some brave souls who have successfully rebuilt an AT transmission for a benz without any previous knowledge of this mysterious device, but they have invested a lot of time into the project and did not put it back into the car until they were sure it will work.

Keep searching the forum, you will find some information on how to get started, a full description of the procedure has not been posted yet to my knowledge.
