South Carolina might not rank well in lots of areas but Diesel is a bargin. I filled up today in Gaffney and payed 1.22 at the truck stop. In North Carolina around Charlotte Diesel was about 1.50 per gallon today. I passed on that and headed home to get the less expensive stuff. Sure like Diesel. Have a good day. Paul

My part of sunny So Cal, you can find, on average, Reg Unleaded - $1.65, Mid Grade - $1.75, Premium - $1.85. Diesel went up to $1.75 when gas prices rose, and has stayed there since.

Evenn though diesel is higher, I still plan on starting a search for a 300SD, hopefully by the end of the year. The idea of 25 MPG vs 11 MPG is inviting.

I think the fog makes it more expensive here.

Not to p.o. anyone who drives for a living bt as someone who prefers the bike ride to work and is dismayed by the popularity of 4x4 status symbols I feel no pain for those who cry about gas prices here in the US. I love my diesel even though it spews lots of soot but I do my best to avoid driving it when possible. Diesel here in Rockville MD is around 1.70/gal that is as high or higer than premium gas...go figure.

Alec.

Gas in Canada should be about the same as US!!?? Too lazy to calculate...so, maybe someone will do the honor???

Price for regular here is about $.469 US per Litre, so, how much is that in gallon??

Andy,

Speaking as an ex-Canadian (eh?) your gas sounds awfully cheap. I remember 49.9cents/litre back in 1990 in Toronto where I lived. I was there 2 weeks ago and it was 76.9cents for regular unleaded.

For everyone else, Andy is paying approximately $1.20US per gallon. Gas in Toronto cost me $2US per gallon! And there are NO free carwashes in Canada when you buy gas... On top of paying $50+ for gas, they charged me $7CDN for a wash.... Anyone want to guess why I moved from Canada??

The Citgo right around the corner from my office is at $1.33 right now (82 oct). I sure am glad to see we are so much cheaper here. I thought I was going broke! Just bought the wife a new Explorer Limited with a 5.0 v8! $52 a week for gas. Sure am glad I drive a diesel. Hope they go down soon!

Prices up here in T.O. (on average) are pretty bad too.

Regular is about 75 cents/litre
~ US$2.00/gal.

and about 85 cents/litre for premium
~ US$2.50/gal

Fill up before coming up here on vacation !!!

Filled up the DeLorean today with Shell Ultra 94 and it was $2.13/gallon in Cleveland. Looks like the only one of my cars that will be moving at all this summer is the 300SD! Diesel is about $1.59 both here in Cleveland and in Cincinnati.
