ran into a problem with xenon kit... battery is in the trunk

i got a 95 S500 (C140)

I was about to start installing xenon kit when I came to realize that my battery in the trunk! DOH!!! And the kit has two wires that have to be connected to the battery. I try connecting the kit without those two wires, and the xenon bulb wouldn't come on. Then I connected those wires to the battery by using some extra wires, and the bulb came on.

Question. Is there anything under the hood that I can connect to to get the same effect?! Any other solution? Need your help guys! I'm confused.

Geez. I'd think that there is a heavy wire which runs from the alternator to the battery direct. Also a good heavy connection to the starter motor relay. Either place should work.

Thanks man, but I'm not sure where the alternator is. And the question is does the alternator have the (-) and (+) on it I can connect to? Xenon Kit requires (-) and (+) connections. Or is (-) just a ground connection that can go to the body of the car?

It's possible that you may have a positive terminal under the hood. In my 97 E420, the battery was under the rear seat. Under the hood on the driver's side was a post that was connected to the positive terminal of the battery. It was in a black housing with a red + on top of the cover.

LRGaston,
thanks man, but there's is not one. If you need to jump the car, instruction say "open the trunk, connect the cables... etc"

I figured it out. There's a couple of vacant spots in the fuse box, I'm going to plug this stuff in there. I'll post some pics when I'm done.
