Situation: While turning on a bumpy road, I feel a very slight "looseness" or "clunkiness" being transmitted through to my steering wheel from the front suspension (maybe steering?).
Questions: What suspension (or steering) "wear" parts should I investigate? What will the following tell me -- jack the front wheels and [a] grab at 3 and 9-o'clock and jiggle [b] grab at 12 and 6-o'clock and jiggle? Thanks! Brian |

There are 4 major components to check for this. The two tie rods, the drag link, and the idler arm bushings. The best way to check is to pull and push the wheels in and out to see if anything is loose. You can also use a big plier to check the joints individually.
