What is a EEA for a 92 500sel?

What is, where is the Electronic Excelerator Actuator. Is this something a DIYer can do. What is the Part No. and Cost 92 500SEL. Thanks very much.

Not really a DIYer project. Last time I looked the price was around $950. Throttle actuator or electronic actuator is correct term (EA).

What does this do and how does it work?

It is a sort of throttle by wire system, were the engine computer has the ability to cut the throttle back if needed. Also, it servs as the cruise and the idle motor. All of this is in one package. I have replaced 5 in the last 2 weeks. The wire harness burns up inside of them. (Does this sound familiar or what?)
