My brakes are having issues!!!

Okay, this problem developed around 2 months ago. When I'm stopped at a light I will have to brake pedal pushed down until firm. Seconds later my car will start to slowly creep up and I have to push the pedal down even more until it gets firm again, in which the pedal is basically towards the floor. After that happens if I immediately release the pedal then pump again it gets firm with little pedal travel at all and doesn't lose pressure. My fluid level and pads are fine so what could the problem be?

If I understand correctly what is happening is that you have your foot on the brake and the pedal drops down slowly and it decreases the stopping power?

Have you had any work done on the brakes lately or the car in general?

If the pedal drops slowly and the car does nto stop, it sounds to me like the Master Cylinder. I would ahve this checked out asap! As it can be quite dangerous!

OHH

if you have had brake repair lately it could be that you have air int he system. If you pump the pedal and the pedal rises and stays firm. It is air trapped in the system.

The brakes haven't been worked on for at least 25k miles. It's like the system looses pressure and requires more force from the pedal to hold the car still.

Check to see if any of your calipers need to be rebuilt. I would put on new brake lines while you are at it.
