124 Auto Transmission Behaving Strangely?
just thought I ask if anyone has had this kind of experience.
yesterday I fitted a couple of new hoses to the air cleaner, cleaned the gunk off the fuel distributer airflow sensor and lubricated and cleaned the throttle linkage. After i took her for a quick spin to make sure all was ok, I noticed on start up, the gear changes were silky-smooth, hardly noticable. After the car started to warm up though, they went back to the normal 'hard' shifts, then calmed down a bit. Any ideas how i get it back to being silky smooth! normally it's the other way 'round -hard shifting until it warms up..! |
You may have knocked the auto trans vacuum line loose. It's located just behind the oil filter, and plugs into a 180deg rubber vacuum hose connector.
The hose runs from where I described to the passenger side of your transmission. Good Luck :D |
