'88 300SE, drive shaft squeal and vibration

I've noticed a squealing sound that I thought was related to my brakes. I now know that it has something to do with my drive train. Particularly when I go into reverse I notice what sounds like metal grinding on metal. Also, I have a vibration that occurs when I accelerate - only noticable in 1st gear... any thoughts???

Thanks!

Vibration - Check your flexdisks.

You can inspect while your under the car for the rest.
