W124/M102 230TE - Central Locking Failure
Hi Guys - now something else has died! Last night the Central Locking was working fine, this morning I had to open the doors manually. The fuse is O.K. as all the other items on it function O.K. Is this likely to be the control pump (vacuum) under the rear seat - or more likely the actuator in the driver's door?? Any ideas??

I believe there are separate trigger lines from the two front doors and the gate, running to the pump. If the pump does not actuate with any of the keylocks, then I would suspect either a bad pump or rupture in the vacuum/pressure plumbing. The pump is easy enough to access for testing,
Steve

Yeah that's what I figured - everything's down, just like on an electric system where the battery's flat. It may or may not be a coincidence that the outside temperature plunged to 23 degrees F in the early hours of the morning. I figured that there might have been some water in the system and maybe I have a split pipe.
I'm gonna check out the pump anyway - I'll post my findings for the future.....
