I have a general question not related to any specific MB. Does the presence of an anti-lock brake system require the use of any unusual methods or equipment to properly bleed the brakes? I'm curious as to what equipment and methods the techs use for this service. Thanks.

Paul,

On ABS-equipped systems, the fluid must be "forced" through the lines rather than bled out by standard methods and you also must run the pump to bleed it of any remaining air. While bleeding ABS systems can be done using the standard methods, I would suggest keeping with MB recommendations.

ABS alone does not require pressure bleeding. ASR systems require pressure bleeding.
