1983 280CE engine vibration

I have a grey market 83 280CE that has a vibration that is coming from the engine. I have isolated it to the engine because when the car is in nuetral or park and the engine is revved the vibration increases in frequency as the RPM's rise. Any ideas what this could be. The car only has 78,000miles and is in mint condition, but the vibration is driving me nuts. Your help is appreciated.

Have you checked your motor mounts and trans mount?

If your engine is running perfectly, no missing, plugs in good shape, compression uniform - then motor and tranny mounts move to the top of the list.
