Dial Indicator techniques ??
 

Would anyone know of a source of instructions and techniques for proper use of dial indicators? These are used for many areas during R&R of Brake rotors etc...

Run multiple setups and take repeated reading with each setup. If the readings are consistent, you can believe them. If not there is something wrong with your setups or measuring technique.

Also, make sure that the indicator plunger is parallel to the freeplay being measured.
