I need to replace the wiper relay for an intermittent problem where the wiper won't stop on a 97 C230.

Where exactly does this relay go? Is it under the main fuse box in the engine compartment? Or the relay box on the passenger side?

In the main fuse box, not under it. Need to remove the extra panel on the rear part of the main fuse box to get into that rear enclosed section, it's back in there.

Thanks - but do I have to remove all the screws in the fuse box? It appears that the entire panel is one piece and to get to the back fuse box I need to unscrew the whole top portion... or am I missing something...

All the screws holding the top on, yes. What's the big deal, it's only like 4 screws, 3 minute job..........if that.
