where to look first when you can't control your cruise?

What would be the most obvious place to look if the cruise control didn't work in your '00 CLK 430 Cab, but every single other thing does??
Thanks,

Joe

Dont know about the CLK, but on the W124 its the Throttle Actuater. Very expensive to replace though. :(

I guess I'll just have to keep using that perfectly weighted brick instead! Yikes. Was hoping for the, "its the simple cruise control fuse," but, it is what it is.
Thanks for the super prompt reply.

Long shot: Some cars are very sensitive to rear wheel outside diameters, per chance do you have different aged tires on the rear?

nope... back tires are great. I bought the car after the top had been lit on fire and the interior is all new. My guess is if it isn't a fuse, it is probably a wire that runs somewhere. I had a bad harness in the right front wheel well (interior) that was messing w/ my door controllers if that is any help.

Thanks again. This forum is invaluable!

tkamiya,

On your brake light failure, did the brake lights stay on, or is there a separate pole on the brake light switch for the CControl? I have a C280 with a failed throttle actuator.
