Help adjusting 1994 E320 transmission
 

hello,

my 1994 E320 with 99K on it is not upshifting from 3rd to 4th. Does anybody can give me a hint to adjust the shifting? I heard from people talking about a modulator or throttle adjustment but i have no clue where those things are located.

any help would be appreciated!!

If the other shifts occur at proper timing the loss of 4th is not likely due to an adjustment.

I would also disconnect the kickdown signal lead at the right rear of the trans to be sure a bad switch or over electrical problem doesn't exist.

Do a search and every possible question reguarding adjusting a transmission will pop up. But like stevebfl said, given your situation it might be something else.
