Need Vacuum Line Help

I have a 110 engine (110994-20-000514) and an automatic transmission (720109-20-004743).

I am repowering the Mercedes with an identical engine (except the last 4 digits are 2687, which seems close enough), but have gotten the vacuum lines mixed up in the process of reinstalling.

I think I got the two lines correct that go to the top of the tranny, and hope I got the twin split ones at the front of the engine that seem to go to the top rear of the intake manifold, but having a schematic, or even pictures would be most helpful.

Thanks

Vacuum line diagrams are usually presented for a specific vehicle, not engine-transmission combination. If you tell us what kind of car this combination is in or came in, someone might be able to help.

Well in your case the engine/trans info is actually better. I don't have a clue what is inside that vehicle but I do know that trans has its vacuum modulator at the right rear of the trans. It should have manifold vacuum on it and will shift real hard if it does not.

If left with no diagram, I would make sure I had no vacuum leaks and approach each system by function. That motor will have vacuum to these possible areas. Dist timing, warm-up regulator mixture control, possible decel dump valve, maybe EGR, etc.

I'm still trying to work through the vacuum lines, so I uploaded some photographs in hopes someone can give me some pointers.

1. Below the Fuel Injection (FI) toward the front there is a Y connector joining two hooked up hoses to one... where does the one go?

2. On top of the FI near the rear there is a stub sticking up. What vacuum line gets hooked to it? My guess is the vacuum unit on the bottom of the auto transmission. There is a long vacuum line that may connect the two.

Thanks

Correction: In tracing it I find one of the upward lines is also disconnected. ARRG.
