I am trying to understand the variables that control the engagement of the supercharger. I have heard that it is at 2500 rpm but I would think that using just rpm is a little simplistic for a modern car. Anyone help with the understanding?

Basicly once engaged it stays that way & has computer control that control pressure bleed-off to control maximun boost pressure.
