vibration in steering
wheel around 60...especially when I am breaking..happens all the way down to 50 or so. I have nearly new Michelin MxV tires.
Any idea of what might be happening. One thought..I slightly bumped a tire into a curb taking a chunk out of the rim..really a small chunk as I was barely moving.. Thanks for any help!!! rob

Presuming that we are talking about the 210 car... lower control arm bushings with maybe a little brake run-out to boot.

We are talking the 210 car..so no way the wheel rim scuff? The brakes are probably pretty good..they have been on less than a year and I am not hard on the car.
So it sounds like lower control arm bushings to you...is that an expensive job? Like I said, there is minimal vibration when simply driving but considerable when breaking through 50mph.. Thanks!

What's your definition of a small chunk? I would recommend getting your wheels balanced, an alignment, and your rotors changed....in that order. Actually...change your rotors yourself and save asome money.

It takes only one overheating or overtorqueing to set the rotors off, but the forward control arm bushing is the culprit. The busings come as a kit though front and rear.

less than an inch long 1/4 in cut..recently had an alignment. I am a Discount Tire customer so they do free rotate and balance..will try that first.
