Oil oozing/residue help!! M104

Car-1993 300E M104
Problem- oil appearing around a rubber surround at the intake manifold area, nearest driver.

I have included some photos, I hope they paint a better picture. The area was cleaned thoroughly 2 days before the photo, and was driven maybe 40 miles. You can see some moisture around the rubber. Trying to determine the source, without taking stuff a part yet.

Has anyone seen this, or know where I may start?

Thanks everyone.

Perhaps from the oil filter housing? Was the oil chamged recently? It can be tricky to properly seat the seal and torque it down.

I thought the same thing.

Changed my oil last week, very carefully, cleaned all areas, and currently the oil filter housing area is clean and dry. Also, had oil around my power steering box. All is clean, except this intake area.

The oil could be comoing out of the hose in the picture. The clamp on the hose is not in the proper position on the hose. There are two white lines on the hose that the clamp needs to be lined up between. Loosen the clanp and move it to the proper location and retighten and clean the area then recheck for leak. I bet the leak will stop.

Thanks RPM55 for the heads up.

I will try your suggestion. The clamp should be lined up in between the arrows? Looks like i need to move it to the right?

I will do it tonight, and see what happens over the weekend.

RPM55,
Pretty tight area to work with. I have not yet moved the clamp. What is this rubber hose doing/holding? Does oil flow thru here? I am unclear as to what this part is. I will be do for my 150k service soon, should I just wait unitil then and bring it up with tech?

Thanks
FQ
