Euro Lights for 420SEL - Wiper question

When installing euro headlights on a 1989 420 SEL, I understand that I need to switch the US wiper motors from one side to the other. Do I need to get new euro panels below the lights? Can I use the US existing US panels?

Euro Light Wipers will wipe from inside to out so you'll need to swap the wipers as well.

If the setup is similar to the W124 then you'll want to buy new wiper panels and new wipers. Actually the best bet is to also buy the Euro motors so the wiper wipes the entire lighting surface, not just the low beams.

You can also modify the Euro light to fit your existing wiper and motor. It will require drilling to mount a new home made bracket, grinding the plastic mounts and a good deal of measuring. Here's how it looks.

Did u use the stock mouting hole on the e-code lights? $$$ for euro wipers?

Regarding wiper motor mounting holes on the actual lights, I had to drill new ones and install a bracket. On the painted wiper panel below the light I did use the original mounting holes.

Not sure how much a new set of Euro wiper motors and wipers would cost, I wonder if someone from Europe would be willing to get a set from the junkyard and send them for a fair price?

Mr. Cigar Havana,

Well, I could have hooked you up with euro wipers for 126 cars, but when you asked me to get you the vacuum adjustment stuff, then you "found it on ebay," that does not make me very inclined to help you in the future.

Afshin, your car looks soooo goood! I love it. That SoCal sun really makes the cars look great, and they hold up too. Laboratory conditions!
