Can anyone detail for me the most comprehensive way to get this done? The MBZ antifreeze is ready to go...I just need to know the best way to approach this.
Thanks in advance!! ------------------ Best regards, Michael '92 500E '88 300TE |
The only way I know of to get out all of the coolant is to drain the block with the drains located under the heads.
You will have to drain the radiator separately. Then refill. I have a new tool that puts a vacuum on the cooling sytem then pulls in the coolant. Man it is cool, no more air pockets. The 119 was bad about this. No more. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 1991 GMC Syclone ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
Donnie, Where'd you get the tool? Snap-on truck? I'd like one myself, especially for those pesky 4.5s. ------------------ Rgds, Aaron Greenberg MB technician Precision Motorcars, Cincinnati, Ohio '67 250SE Cabriolet '77 450SL '80 300SD '85 380SE '86 420SEL '89 420SEL '93 300E 2.8 '74 Jensen Interceptor Mk.III '81 DeLorean DMC12 '84 BMW 745i Turbo |
