A friend of mine has stripped the threads on his crankcase drain plug. What are his options?? The car is an '87 190E.

I have had to install a timesert on these before and it worked well. It just has to be the correct depth and size. Then use a new plug.
On some rare occasions, the drain plug that is used is too short. Try a longer one and see. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 1991 GMC Syclone ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
