I've seen numerous postings and threads on the problems with wire harnesses in Mercedes from late '80's to mid '90's. My problem is specifically with a 1990 300CE. I'm at the point where a wire harness for the engine is not a necessity but probably a good idea given the crispy condition of some of the wiring. Can anyone who has purchased one please provide the info where you purchased it? Numerous local dealers are quoting me $1100 for the harness alone. Any help is greatly appreciated.
