Heater Core in my mercedes 560 SEL

I have an 560 SEL (1990), and I'm not getting any heat from my heater core. I have cheeked the water flow, and it's seems to be ok, because the hoses are warm. I've read something about a "baffle" that bypasses the heater core, can this be possible?. I have also changed the monovalve, and the circulating pump runs like it should. Are there anyone that have had the same problem. the heater core is warm at the bottom, but not in the middle or the top????

Yes my 1991 560 SEL is also doing the same thing as yours. The heater is not putting out any heat. My temp gage was only reading about 40c and I thing it should be at 80c.

For a temporary fix I just blocked off the airflow to the radiator with a large piece of cardboard and that helped raise the engine temp a enough to get a little heat from the heater.

I just started to replace the thermostat and broke a bolt off in the water pump so now it has to be replaced also.
