After raining, I can hear the sound of bird singing...from my engine of 96 c class.
Do you know what I am saying? It sounds like bird is singing..and as I step on the gas, the sounds gets faster and louder....

Help...I CANNOT drive after rain......
WHAT'S WRONG?

Is this sound coming from the engine??? If so, is it possible this sound is only your belt slipping? It sounds simple, but it is possible.

If the belt on your car is as noisy as you say and it's not a very old car, then the belt is worn out (stretched) or the belt tensioner is not doing it's job. Annother thought comes to mind. Why is the belt getting wet to the point that this occurs??

I'll bet that your gravel gaurd has been left off. Most Mercedes with a serpentine belt system have a pan that protects the belt drive system.
