I like the 190E body design (89-93). In many ways, I prefer it over the W202 C-Class design, which replaced it. But there are some design features in the W202 that I like such as the front grill. Is it possible to update the 190E grill with the much sleeker grill of the C-Class? It'll probably be expensive, but just wondering if that's possible. I have a '90 190E and would love to give it a facelift. It's not a huge desire, as I love how it looks anyway. But if it is affordable, I wouldn't mind doing it.

If you're cost conscious, try painting the grille insert as described by our fellow members. More radical would be what I did -- paint the entire grille and frame assembly the color of your car.

I have heard that there is a new grill out for the 190E that represents the new "S-Class or E-Class style" grill. I have tried to figure out who makes this grill, and people have told me that A!Avant Garde makes one and that Bekkers Import should supply it now or soon. For an example, go to http://members.xoom.com/190E/ , then go to the readers rides and check out Hiroshi's 16V.
