tensioner.......search worked
 

i recently posted a thread needing help on a 97 c230 tensioner replacement.....didn't get any replies.........started searching and about 15 pages later found a thread dealing with this problem...... after ordering the parts, because the dealer said they were bad, i started working......found the tensioner not bad only loose......tightened the bolt in the center of the idler pulley and the noise stopped......does anyone know the torque value on the bolt in the center of the idler pulley?......USE THE SEARCH, IT TAKES TIME BUT IT WORKS

25 ft/lbs should take care of it. ;)
