Hydraulic suspension line replacement on a 300TDT

Can anyone tell me what's involved in the replacement of a rotted hydraulic rear suspension line? The entire line (more or less) has to be replaced from the translucent reservoir all the way back to the lifters. I've heard removing the sub-frame is involved?
